The wonderful thing about marriage is that you can do it just about any way you like that is special and personal to you and your partner. As a caterer, we’ve seen all of the traditional wedding ceremonies and celebrations, and we love each one that we get to cater for. But we also hold a special place for the more unconventional and untraditional wedding celebrations that we at Hog Roast Belfast have been able to cater for over the years.
One such celebration that may be considered unconventional took place earlier this month as the Hog Roast Belfast team joined Marcella and her husband to help cater for a celebration marking one year since they first tied the knot in Las Vegas. Because most of their friends and family had not been there in Vegas to join in their wedding celebrations last year, the couple thought they would host a more “official” and conventional party one year on past the date where all of their friends and family would be able to dress up their wedding attire and enjoy a full day of proper celebrations.
As we are a wedding caterer as well as private party caterer, Hog Roast Belfast were very well placed to cater for Marcella and her husband’s garden party. We prepared a relaxed feast of our signature hog roast for guests to enjoy at their leisure throughout the event. Catering manager Jamie ensured there was plenty of food to go around, cooking up one hog roast to be accompanied by our usual sage and onion stuffing with golden crackling and apple sauce. Then, for sides we prepared fresh tomato and mozzarella salads, gourmet coleslaw, a mixed salad, herb dressed new potatoes, and grilled veg and halloumi skewers served with wraps, sweet chilli sauce and tzatziki for our veggie alternative (or without halloumi for a vegan alternative).
The celebration of marriage is always a wonderful thing, even when done 1 year post knot tying. This was a wonderful occasion which the Hog Roast Belfast team loved being a part of, and we would like to offer our congratulations to the happy couple once again!
