Getting to be a part of any event is a massive privilege for the whole Hog Roast Limavady team, but then there are some that are just extra special all because of the very important causes that they are hosted for.
Events have the power to change the world – our dining just plays a small part in that. With so many people in one place for one cause or celebration you can do just about anything. You can make waves across the world with just a simple event, raise money for a cause, make an issue known to the world, or really just celebrate the things that deserve to be celebrated. To do all that, you’ll need a good bit of dining to fuel the day, too!
That is why we at Hog Roast Limavady were delighted to be invited along to a very important event at Semple Farm right here in the village. The family run potato business played host to an incredible charity fundraiser for cancer research earlier in July. Inviting many from around the village and beyond, around 135 came together for an excellent cause very near and dear to our own hearts here at Hog Roast Limavady. When we were asked to provide our catering services to the day, we were happy to jump at the chance. Anything that helps to support such a cause and keep the folks that are there to support it happy too is a perfect job by us!
So, then, how to supplement such an important occasion? Well with none other than our signature hog roast! Whole roasted in the spit style, served up with golden crackling, sage and onion stuffing with apple sauce, this is a dining pick for the most important of fundraisers. As an alternative, our BBQ pulled jackfruit was also on show. And that’s not all, of course! We’ve also got to keep our guests healthy with our selections of salads, keep them fuelled with our herb dressed new potatoes, and provide rich refreshment with our juicy veg and halloumi skewers.
Plenty of hog roast rolls were eaten; plenty of money was raised. By our books, that’s an excellent event all round in Limavady!
