Another week, another bevy of excellent events served by Hog Roast Letterkenny! With February suddenly sneaking up on us we’re gearing up for the most romantic events of all in our special Valentine’s day events, but this week saw a range of corporate and private events well served with our trademark roasts and our typical high standards.
There were no January blues to be had at our first event of February as we attended the wedding of Jennete and Kevin McKirdy! The newlyweds had been fans of Hog Roast Letterkenny before their wedding, enjoying our services a couple of times in their 4 years of pre-married life, so when their wedding came around their was only one name they were ever going to call. The pair opted for the formal hog roast wedding service meaning guests were welcomed with drinks and canapes on arrival before then sitting down to a 3 course dinner beginning with starters served to tables, the main enjoyed as a buffet with full service from our chefs and service staff, and desserts again then served to tables. There was also an evening buffet for much later in the evening with options of burgers on rolls, BBQ jackfruit in rolls, or our gourmet sausages along with side servings of fries.
Another event this week took our team out to a local school where both staff and kids were holding a charity event. Kids were to bring as many 1 and 2 pence coins as they could with the goal of laying them all out in the playground to complete a picture of the school’s crest. To keep the kids and staff members warm throughout the laying each were served a roll with a filling of pulled pork or BBQ jackfruit. With the whole school involved that was around 350 rolls served in total! And there were even more one and two penny coins than that to lay!
Another event had us supporting staff lunches at a local business partner of ours. The manager likes to mix up the week from time to time by rewarding her team with business paid lunches, and so they chose Hog Roast Letterkenny for this one. Another standard buffet style lunch with staff members served by our chefs.
