Earlier this summer, Hog Roast Ballymena was hired to cater at a local pub. The pub has been hiring different caterers for every Friday night throughout the summer, as a way to attract more customers and make the most of the good weather. For our catering, we were hired to serve a classic hog roast, as this is a delicious menu and is perfect for enjoying in the beer garden. The Hog Roast Ballymena team was happy to get involved with this event as the pub is a very lively environment for catering, which is always a lot of fun.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Ballymena team arrived at the venue in the afternoon to prepare for the 5:00pm serving time. We began by slow-roasting the hog, which required over five hours to cook to perfection. Once the pork was packed full of natural juices and flavours, it was expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For meat-free guests, we also provided BBQ pulled jackfruit, which is a delicious alternative to pulled pork. When it was time to serve, the customers lined up at our catering station to grab a plate of what we had to offer. Our menu was definitely a success, with many people coming back for seconds!
